Privacy Policy

Sway ("we," "our," "the Service") is a paper-trading prediction market operated by Swayn Technologies, LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Plain-English summary. Sway is a simulation. You never spend real money, so we never collect payment information. We keep what's needed to run the app — your account, your trades, your calls — and that's it. We don't sell your data.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email, a display name, an optional bio, and an optional avatar image. Authentication is handled via Supabase.

Gameplay data. We record the markets you trade, your positions, your public calls, and your resulting reputation scores (accuracy, edge, conviction). These are internal to Sway and tied to your account.

Device information. If you opt in to push notifications, we store an Expo push token so we can deliver alerts. You can revoke notifications in your device settings at any time.

Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization on the marketing site (this page, the homepage, terms). Analytics measure traffic; they don't track individual identities.

Waitlist signups. If you submit the email form on our homepage, we store your email and a signup source tag so we can email you when Sway opens.

We don't sell or rent personal data to anyone, ever.

5. Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account exists. Deleting your account via in-app Settings (or by emailing us at support@getswayn.com) removes your profile, positions, calls, and push tokens. Aggregated, de-identified resolution data (for auditability of the markets themselves) may persist for up to 30 days.

6. Children

Sway is intended for users 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email support@getswayn.com and we'll remove it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Supabase-managed). No internet service is perfectly secure; we work in good faith to protect your data and will notify you of a material breach.

California residents may request disclosure of personal information we've collected about them, deletion of that information, and may opt out of any "sale" (we don't sell data). Email support@getswayn.com to exercise these rights.

10. Changes

We'll update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be emailed to your account address at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Effective" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
